Your Telegram channel must reach Level 1 to unlock one Story per day. However, Level 1 does not mean one boost. The required boost quantity depends on your channel, so use the requirement displayed in Telegram.
To start publishing, check three things: enough active boosts, an available Story allowance and an administrator with permission to post Stories.
How to Find Your Exact Boost Requirement for Unlocking Telegram Stories
Open your channel profile.
Find Statistics and Boosts → Boosts in the settings or profile menu.
Check your current level and the requirement for Level 1.
If Telegram already shows how many more boosts you need, use that number directly.
Menu labels can vary by app version. If Telegram shows a required total, calculate:
Missing boosts = maximum of 0 and (required total − current active boosts).
For example, if Level 1 requires eight boosts and your channel has five, you need three more. These numbers are illustrative; your channel may have a different requirement.
If your channel already meets the requirement, check posting permissions and available Story allowance before ordering additional boosts.
What If You Need More Than One Story per Day
Choose a level based on your publishing schedule.
Stories you want to publish per day | Channel level required |
1 | Level 1 |
2 | Level 2 |
3 | Level 3 |
5 | Level 5 |
10 | Level 10 |

Count each separately published Story item. A product introduction, demonstration and reminder posted as three separate Stories needs an allowance of three.
Do not multiply your Level 1 boost requirement to estimate higher levels. Check the requirement for your actual target level inside Telegram.

Why Are Stories Still Locked After Boosting
Use the message Telegram displays to identify the problem.
What happens | What to do |
Telegram asks for more boosts | Check whether your active total reaches the required level |
Another administrator can publish but you cannot | Ask the owner to check your Post Stories permission |
You published earlier and now see a limit | Check the remaining allowance and any waiting time shown |
The composer selects your personal account | Select your channel as the publishing destination |
Story access previously worked but has stopped | Check whether your active boost count or level has fallen |
Telegram’s Story documentation identifies administrator permissions and sufficient boosts as requirements for community Story posting. Follow any additional account or posting-limit message shown in the app.
More boosts will not fix missing permissions. Likewise, deleting an old Story should not be treated as a guaranteed way to reset a posting-rate limit.
Do You Need More Boosts Every Time You Publish
No. Publishing a Story does not spend your channel’s boosts. Active boosts contribute to its level, while the level provides a Story allowance.
Additional boosts can help when you want a higher allowance or when your active total no longer meets the required threshold. If you have already used your allowance, follow the posting-limit message in Telegram.
Story expiry and boost expiry are separate. A Story disappearing from active display does not itself mean your channel has lost boosts.
Prepare Your Channel Before a Story Campaign
Before a launch, promotion or event:
Count the Story items planned for your busiest day.
Check the level and boost total needed for that allowance.
Confirm the publishing administrator has Story permissions.
Review any known boost expiries during the campaign.
Open the Story composer and confirm that your channel is available as the posting destination.
For example, if you plan three updates on launch day, reaching Level 1 will not provide the allowance you need. Plan around Level 3 and its actual boost requirement.
For resellers, record the requested outcome as “access to three Stories per day,” together with the destination and required boost quantity. This makes the order’s purpose clear.
Get the Boosts Needed for Your Story Plan
Once you know your gap, use the Telegram boost calculator and plans to compare suitable options.
The listed smm plus plans support public and private channels and groups, with a minimum order of 10 boosts. Account for that minimum if your missing quantity is smaller.
Choose the refill coverage that fits your campaign. Qualifying drops from your order are replaced within the purchased coverage period under the selected service’s terms. This coverage applies to boosts supplied through your order, not every existing boost on the destination.
smm plus is a Telegram SMM panel for resellers supplying cheap Telegram services for resellers, agencies and channel owners. Boost plans include clear order limits, delivery estimates and refill coverage, with no Telegram password required.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is One Boost Enough to Unlock Channel Stories
Not necessarily. You need Level 1, and the boost quantity required for that level is specific to your channel.
Does Buying Telegram Premium Automatically Unlock Channel Stories
No. Your personal subscription does not automatically raise the channel’s level. The channel must receive enough assigned boosts, and the posting administrator needs the appropriate permissions.
Can Groups Unlock Stories Too
Yes. Telegram’s published group benefits also start with one Story per day at Level 1. Use the group’s own boost requirement rather than copying a channel’s quantity.
Does Unlocking Stories Include Story Views
No. It provides publishing access, not a guaranteed audience or a delivered number of views.
Can My Channel Lose Story Access
Yes. If active boosts fall below the required threshold, access or the available allowance can change. Check your level before an important publishing date.
